Bather paintings have long been celebrated for their ability to capture intimate moments in a woman's life, free from the constraints of societal perception. These works offer glimpses into the private rituals of bathing, where women find solace and self-reflection away from the gaze of others.. away from the areas they are normally perceived.

For me, the concept of the bather is not presented as an object of desire or scrutiny… but rather as a subject reclaiming her autonomy and agency. The act of bathing becomes a metaphor for shedding societal expectations and embracing one’s truth.
