WOLVES
WOLVES
WOLVES, 40x60” Acrylic on Canvas
to recognize all of the ways in which society strips us bare. we grow naturally to carry the weight expectation, the prevalence of rape culture, the objectification of form, the lack of bodily autonomy….the way we can no longer trust ourselves. to be a woman is to know that you must be aware of the wolf in sheep's clothing- always listening for the subtle growl, the baring of teeth. that the very survival of our power, autonomy, and physical self…. depends on it.
on ‘CONSUMPTION’:
no matter the form, ‘consumption’ is a relationship. a bridged phenomena of connectedness.
we need mankind to be awake to be leavers, rather than takers.
how are we interacting within our living systems?
what do you consider to be a part of your living system?
a larger approach to examining and understanding, we restore order by remembering we are creators.
the largest shift begins at the root of ‘self creation’, to have meaningful perspective on why we feel separated from the whole.
through the rhythm of consciousness and interconnection, we can begin to show up as the whole; as the creators.
a curation of work to encourage curiosity, reflection, creativity. each of these pieces calls to both the personal and universal experience of many.
